Road Trippin'!

This weekend KRo was kind enough to invite me along on her trek up to Saratoga Springs to visit one of her friends from her time in Alaska. And I would've been crazy to turn down a weekend at a winery and the horse track!

After a surprisingly short 3 hour road trip we were greeted by our gracious host and getting ready for a night at The Saratoga Winery. Wine samples and bottles were ordered to complement the wood stove pizza being made upon request outside...heaven I tell you.

We spent a couple of hours by the fire pit meeting new people and enjoying the gorgeous weather before we went downtown to go to one of their favorite haunts and dance the rest of the night away!

Finally it was time to call it a night (The bars in NY stay open till 4 AM! Us old biddies just couldn't make it that long) because the next morning we had to get up early so we could have brunch at the track while watching the horses warm up - so fabulous.

The tale of our day at the races to come tomorrow! Spoiler alert: it was epic.
